 This 8210 N95 Classic Design Mask has been around since 3M founded its company.  The round design that inspired all N95 masks in the world is one of the first to receive an N95 rating.  This N95 rating means that this mask is able to filter 95% of foreign particulates including the Sars-CoV-2 virus which is currently a pandemic worldwide.

 The Sars-CoV-2 virus or more commonly called the corona virus or corona has a diameter of 0.1 microns.  Meanwhile, dust masks are generally only able to filter up to 0.3 microns where the pores of the mask diameter are 3x larger than the diameter of the virus.  But you don't need to worry, because 3M has applied electrostatic technology to this mask.  Whereas foreign particulate matter less than 0.3 micron can be captured in the majority as long as this electrostatic force is present.  The electrostatic force that is formed between the fibers in the 3M 1820 filter is able to make the smaller virus particulates experience brownian motion, which is a physical phenomenon that causes these particulates to be attracted to the filter fiber even against the force of gravity.

 3M 1820 has been confirmed to have an expiry date until 2025, and this is the best choice among other masks in terms of safety.  Masks that have valves or valves are never recommended for use by frontline medical doctors because of the compromise that allows the virus to enter.
